Vulvovaginal infections constitue one of the most frequent and important problems of morbiditity in paedriatric gynaecology. We present the experience of the Department of Paedriatric Gynaecology, Dr. Luis Calvo Mackenna Hospital and the changes in specific sexually transmitted vulvovaginal infections over the last decade. We review the results of different studies carried out on the children under 15 years, with respect to gonorrhea, trichomoniasis, Chlamydia tracomatis, condiloma genital, genital herpes and Mycoplasmas urogenitales. We review it´s relation with sexual abuse and compare our findings with foreign experiences.
