Mediastinal thymolipoma: a clinical case

Abstract

We present a case of a thymic lipoma in a 14 year old patient with bronchial asthma. The tumor was diagnosed during an obstructive bronchial crisis, in which a chest x-ray and a CT chest scan were performed. The patient did not have symptoms from the tumor, even though it was a large mass weighing 1.200 g. Histological examination of the tumor confirmed the clinical diagnosis.
